Though it's still February, Utah is feeling Spring-like with its weather and that means that cleaning is coming up.

Spring cleaning is a long-standing tradition in the U.S. and other places with more changing seasons. The origins are from holidays like Passover, Lunar New Year, and Good Friday, National Geographic said.

However, not all of us attribute it to a religious holiday but rather a way to start fresh for the warmer months.

So, since Utah is beginning to feel like Spring, now is a good time to get a head start on that cleaning and make it as easy as possible. Trying to cram it into a few days or a weekend can be...a lot, especially for homeowners.

Spring clearing allows for a renewed sense of space and helps drive up ambition, National Geographic said. It also has some therapeutic benefits.

New Medical Life Sciences said that there is a direct link between cleaning and physical and mental health. Basically, those with cleaner environments tend to be healthier and have a better mind.

The act of cleaning can help calm people so engaging in Spring cleaning is like an extra boost for your dopamine.

It can feel hard to get motivated to clean during the cold months but since it’s been relatively sunny in Utah, now is a good time to start. So, get those buckets and mops ready for use and engage in some beneficial Spring cleaning.

Your physical and mental health will definitely be grateful for it.
