3 Surprising Reasons Utahns Shouldn’t Sleep With A Fan Even In The Heat
It's hot and it is getting worse with summer well under way in the beehive state which is why many turn to their trusty cooling fans.
The heat in Utah is dry and with triple digits only going higher from this point on, any relief seems great, right? Well, some experts say that running a fan at night can have some not-so-great consequences on the body.

Too Cool
Apparently, your body can cool down too much in its sleep which causes a bad rest. The fan acting as a colling device may play a part in this. So, maybe try a night without the fan to see if your sleep is any better.
Aches and Pains
If you wake up with a stiff neck and shoulders, it could be because your fan cooled your muscles down too much. This causes your muscles to tense up and then you wake up feeling extra terrible.
Stuffed Up
A more common issue with fans going all night is that it can stir up dust and allergens. This causes your sinuses to feel super congested, and your throat and nose feel dry. Not a pleasant feeling.
If you absolutely must have your fan on like me, the best thing you can do is add a good air purifier to the mix if you suffer from allergies.
