The Best Beaches In Utah According To Trip Advisor
Utah is a landlocked state but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any beaches to enjoy, there is just a limited amount.
As the weather heats up, especially in Southern Utah, people are looking to cool off in some water and enjoy some Summer fun. If pool access is limited, going out to find a nice beach is the only alternative. Luckily, Utah has a few to choose from.
According to Trip Advisor, there are only three actual beaches in the state. However, a beach is what you make it. So, I’ll provide a few more options for those who aren’t impressed by the rather small list from Trip Advisor.

Lone Rock Beach
This one is super popular because its located at Lake Powell which makes it a bit of a drive. But, if you’re willing, its a great place for some water fun. Just be aware that it gets BUSY! There are always a ton of people from all over trying to find the perfect spot and since it borders Arizona, there is that crowd too.
Swasey’s Beach
Also kind of a drive is Swasey’s Beach. It is located in Green River, UT which is by...nothing. However, it can be a somewhat secluded area but reviews say its a bit “buggy” so make sure to bring some bug spray.

Huntington State Park
It’s in the name but this beach is located in Huntington, UT. This state park is a great place for campers and boaters and offers a pretty nice beach, though it came in third on Trip Advisors list. Just know that you will need to reserve a camping spot and the park is working on its irrigation systems right now. So, your camp site will probably have dirt mound if you pick the wrong place.
These are all the beaches that Trip Advisor gives BUT there are a few other ones in the state to consider.
- Sand Hollow State Park—Southern Utah
- Vineyard Beach—Vineyard, Utah
- Sandy Beach—Sandy, Utah
- Bear Lake State Park—Garden City, Utah
- Sailboat Beach—Wallsburg, Utah
- North Beach—South Jordan, Utah
- Deer Creek State Park—Wallsburg, Utah
