Utah ranks No.1 and is again rates as one of the best states overall for the third year in a row.
The U.S. News & World Report has found that the beehive state is still top tier when it comes to a few important living factors. The state is being recognized for how much it has changed over the past 20 years, which is A LOT.

- Gross Domestic Product Growth
- Business Creation
For the last three years, Utah has not ranked outside of the top five states in the U.S. News & World Report. This year, Utah ranks as the No. 1 for a few reasons. The report looks at several things like education, healthcare, opportunity, economy, fiscal stability, crime and corrections, natural environment, and infrastructure.

Utah placed third best in labor force participates in 69%, came fourth highest in gross domestic product growth and had the fourth highest rate in business creation.

That's just the “business side” of things. Utah also has the lowest smoking rate in the country (6%) and is the 12th lowest in the U.S. for violent crimes, the report said. Also, Utah’s eighth graders managed to grab fourth average in the country for standardized math tests.
Basically, Utah has a lot of things going for it.
