Finding the right employer is always a struggle and a place of work being recommended by others who have worked somewhere is always a plus.

Utah has quite a few “best employers” from a list created by Forbes. Based on the survey conducted by the research firm, Statista, Forbes looked at employees who would recommend their workplaces on a scale from 0-10. Overall, there were just a little over a thousand places dubbed as “Best-In-State Employers, 2024”.

Here are the places that ranked the highest in Utah.

America First Credit Union

Ranking number three on the list of overall best in-state workplaces, America First Credit Union employs 3,341 people in Utah. Its headquarters are in Ogden, UT.

Harmons

A popular grocery store in Utah that offers some unique products and Utah-grown produce that has stores in most cities across the state. With 4,000 employees across the state, Harmons comes in fifth overall.

University of Utah Health Care

Known as one of the best healthcare places in the state, it comes with little surprise that the U of U made the list of best in-state workplaces. There are over 20,000 employees in the U of U health care department.

Healthequity

Located in Draper, Healthequity is a workplace that focuses on banking and financial services according to Forbes. It comes in ninth overall for workplaces in the state and employs 3,150 people.

Western Governors University

A place of education is a bit surprising for a best-in-state workplace since educators are usually not paid well. However, ranking as number 10 on the list, there must be some charm to this workplace. It has 8,000 employees.
