Welcome to the Local Artists to Watch Series! As part of this series, I’ll introduce you to some of the extraordinary local talent I’ve come across while hosting the New Music Download Show.  

Today I’m going to introduce you to Chelsea Davis. The singer, songwriter, and musician from Moab grew up in a music filled household and played piano as a child. She grew up listening to R&B and as she became older got into world music. After high school, she attended Southern Utah University and after graduation she moved to Los Angeles to become a touring and session musician.  

Since then, she’s played with Berlin and Thirty Seconds to Mars, and is active with PartyBaby, MOON, and her solo project Chelsea Dawn. Chelsea has a new album out now called Turf Volume 1: Hits of the 1980’s. The album contains bluegrass covers of her favorite pop songs from the 1980’s and she is also working on a new MOON album with Dan Silver.
