Utah’s Raunchiest Hike Is Just Outside Zion National Park
Utah has a super raunchy geological point that draws visitors to it for hiking and laughing purposes.
Despite Utah being a rather conservative state both politically and religious wise, it has what's known as a “Mollies Nipple”. Yes, this is the official name of a tiny landmark located just outside of Hurricane and near Zion National Park.
Now if you’re from here this place might even come as a surprise because saying nipple in public in Utah is almost sacrilegious. However, this name and the Mollie attached to it isn't unique.
How Mollies Nipple Was Named
Well, according to Zion Guide, Molly or Mollie was a slang term for prostitutes' way before it had anything to do with weed. Obviously, the geological formation itself resembles a certain body part and since old settlers liked to name things with a raunchy twist, Mollies Nipple came to be. Mollie’s Nipples are all over the U.S. and unfortunately the names weren’t creative.
Can You Hike Mollies Nipple
I had a friend from Las Vegas visiting and even he went to go see the infamous Mollie’s Nipple, he really wasn’t that impressed but what he didn’t know is that it’s also a hiking trail.
That’s right, you can hike to Mollies Nipple if you’re feeling a bit adventurous though I wouldn’t recommend going until late August or September because of the heat. However, if you want to do what my friend did you can just drive via a dirt road on State Road 59 East out of Hurricane.
It isn’t the prettiest piece of Utah geography to look at but hey, you can tell someone you hiked a nipple so there is that.
