Have you heard that Cedar City has a new live music venue? I went to it last night and it was really fun. Two Dollar Tuesdays at The Johnson Center for Community Arts & Education is the latest addition to the arts community in Cedar City. If you're a broke college student as I've been, The Johnson Center for Community Arts & Education has your back.

The venue isn’t the largest, but that didn’t seem to matter. There was a line outside into the parking lot 10 minutes before the show was scheduled to start at 7 pm and the place was packed once Sydni Eileen took the stage for a handful of songs. Once The Redcaps took the stage, the venue was still packed, with a fan plugged in to help with cool air circulation.

Both acts had the crowd cheering and singing along, The Redcaps were fresh off winning Southern Utah University’s college radio station’s Battle of the Bands and were selling CDs at the show. The extra bonus is that the soda shop behind the venue was having a sale on small sodas because it was a show night. If Two Dollar Tuesdays sound like something you might be interested in, you can find them on Instagram at 2dollar2sday for show information.
