Did you know that the author of Sherlock Holmes, Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini were once friends? Well they were!
But as time went by they ended up really disliking each other. It was a fight over whether Houdini was magic or not. Houdini claimed he didn't have magical powers. Doyle believed that Houdini did have magical powers. So they stopped being friends because they could never agree.
Jenga was invented by a woman who was from Ghana. She named it Jenga because in her language of Swahili Jenga means "to build". So when Hasbro bought the game from her, they wanted to change the name. But she insisted that the name stay the same.
The language that is spoken on the Marshall Islands is called Marshallese. And the word bikini comes from their language. It actually means "surface of coconuts".
A labyrinth and a maze are not the same thing. Apparently a labyrinth is a winding path that doesn't branch off. A maze branches off and has different paths where some lead to dead ends. Who knew?
The rooten'ist, tooten'ist gunslinger in the wild west, Sir Yosemite Sam was actually gonna be named something else. Luckily they stuck with Yosemite Sam. The other three options were lame!

In the 1800's, prisons had a weird way of punishing convicts. The guards would make some of the convicts walk on treadmills for a long period of time. This was a punishment but it was also to keep them from getting to lazy during their jail time.
How would you have liked to see Michael Jackson in a musical? I'm not talking about a music video, I'm talking a dancing and singing musical. Well it was about to happen. It was the first plan for the movie "The Crow". They wanted Michael Jackson to start in it and they wanted it to be a musical.
There once was a man named Franklin Mars. He founded the food company Mars. He also had a pet horse. He loved his horse. He named his horse Snickers. Then one day, his pet horse died. It was after Snickers death that Franklin released a new candy bar. And in honor of his beloved pet horse, he named the candy bar Snickers. True Story.
