Utah isn’t known for its crazy New Year’s Eve parties or a big ball drop but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have a great time for the holiday in the Beehive state.

The Utah Agenda has many great events to participate in, including some family-friendly, 18+, and even some date night ideas for residents and visitors. If you’re located in Southern Utah, you will have to travel up north for all of these events but there should still be some smaller local events if you want to stay near home.

One of the events in the Utah Agenda is a Wiseguys comedy event held on Dec. 29 through 31 in different locations and times up north. You’ll be able to see the event even if you have plans on New Year’s Eve. You can grab your tickets here.

If you’re looking for more of a fun romantic activity for two, there is a date night option at the Salt Lake Culinary Education from Dec. 29 to the 30.

Another option you have is visiting Luminaria on New Year’s Eve with fireworks at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on both Dec. 29 and Jan. 1 at Thanksgiving Point. This is a family-friendly event, and you can experience a magical evening with loved ones.

If you are looking for more family-friendly events, the Living Planet Aquarium will have an event from noon to 6 p.m. on Dec. 31. You will need to buy tickets for this event, but it is included in the admission if you go that day.

These are just a few of the events Utah has to offer for New Year’s Eve but to see a full list, click here.
