Finding a partner is a difficult thing but one thing remains true; having a pet can be a good sign for your love life.

That’s right. Having a pet is good for your love life.

Valentine’s Day and cuffing season can be...challenging for many, especially those of us who are single and proud. However, if that’s you and you are a pet owner, don’t think all hope is lost just yet.

Having a pet is a sure way to up your dating game, Forbes said. A study done by Anthrozoös in 2015 found that pet owners have a leg up when it comes to finding romantic partners. Women were found to be more attracted to someone if they had a pet. Men use having a pet to attract women.

Not only that, but Forbes said that women look at how a partner interacts with their pet to see if that person is a good dating partner for them. Being affectionate and caring was a big plus.

So, Utah singles, if you haven’t ever considered how interacting with a love interests' pet can impact your chances, think again.

Forbes also said that once you are in a relationship, having a pet can both ease tension and create better bonds between partners. Basically, having a pet is a REALLY good thing for those looking for love and those in love.

However, let’s not all go out and get a pet to just attract someone. You may feel you are missing out without a partner, but pets are living things too and deserve commitment and respect.

If you were thinking of getting one to ease that lonely ache, this may be a good time to consider doing so. You’ll have a family with your pet no matter what happens.
