To add to the fright of Halloween, it is also tarantula mating season in Utah which means that you may see more creepy crawlies.

Some poor woman was chased by a mating pair and posted on the St. George Word of Mouth Facebook page just a few days ago. She was stuck on her trampoline and really needed to pee, she said.

Anyway, the point is that you may be seeing more tarantulas than usual because the males are looking to mate, ABC4 News said. Prime mating season is anywhere from September through November here in Utah.

Though I am not at all a fan of spiders with the exception of that cute animated one, they do have their purpose...

During the warmer months annoying bugs like mosquitos and flies plague Utah and tarantulas and other spiders help with that. Some even eat small mice if they have the opportunity.

According to experts from Utah State University, the scary creatures aren’t actually all that threatening. They don’t usually bite and when they do their venom is not that bad. However, I who have also been chased by a tarantula, am not so sure about their “friendliness”.

Regardless, it's best not to harm them if possible since they are a part of Utah wildlife. If you can, grab some gloves and gently move them to somewhere less...occupied by humans.

To the poor lady chased onto her trampoline I send my sincerest condolences. Been there, girl.

To the comment section, you guys are hilarious and also full of good advice about these creatures so thanks!
