It is easy to get swept up in new food places that open, but Utahns shouldn’t forget the long-time restaurants that have been serving them for years.

I could mention many places that are great in Southern Utah that have been around for a long time but the one I am thinking of is Pasta Factory. It's relatively cheap, offers different portion sizes and good food.

A friend had invited me to dinner recently and suggested the Pasta Factory which I hadn’t been to in years. It made me question why I hadn’t since the selection is great and the food was delicious. Not to mention the yummy breadsticks.

It was a Monday and the place was packed! That is always a good sign. The service was great, and it looked like it's a place that offers jobs to those in high school, so it does a service to the community.

The Pasta Factory in St. George has been open for over 40 years and maintained a great reputation. It's a Utah based chain that was created in the 1970s, the website said.

If you are feeling pizza, salads, sandwiches, or flat breads you can get them all at this location. Technically the Pizza Factory and the Pasta Factory are separate but in the same building.

Take a trip to downtown St. George and support this great local place if you haven’t been in a while. The food is totally worth it and who doesn’t like pasta? Only crazy people.
