National Tourism Day: Best Sites To Visit In Southern Utah
May 7th is National Tourism Day and with that, I thought I would share some of the best places to visit in southern Utah. With this list, I’m hoping you’ll be able to visit some of these places for National Tourism Day or make your summer travel plans.
Arches National Park: Arches was established as a national park in 1971. Arches is located by Moab and has 2,000 natural stone arches and giant balanced rocks.
Bryce Canyon National Park: Bryce Canyon was established as a national park in 1928. Located in Bryce Canyon, Utah right outside the park. Full of hoodoos found in the largest concentration anywhere on Earth.
Canyonlands National Park: Canyonlands was established as a national park in 1964. Located near Moab. The Colorado River and its tributaries divide the park into four districts: Island in The Sky, The Needles, The Maze, and the rivers themselves.
Capitol Reef National Park: Capitol Reef was established as a national park in 1971. Located outside Torrey. You can check out the bridges of the Waterpocket Fold.
Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument: Grand Staircase was established as a national monument in 1996.
Zion National Park: Zion was established as a national park in 1919. Located just outside of Springdale. You can explore the slot canyons and Angel’s Landing and check the many sandstone cliffs.
