Southern Utah University is launching a new program designed to give prospective online students an opportunity to experience the university and its campus community before enrolling.

Campus Connections, offered through SUU’s Graduate & Online Programs, will hold its inaugural event August 14. The program is specifically designed for prospective online students, particularly working adults who may be considering returning to college while balancing careers and other responsibilities.

According to a press release from Southern Utah University, the program is built around the idea that online education does not have to mean an isolated college experience. The Campus Connections events will allow prospective students to meet the people and access the services that can support them throughout their education.

Meet Program Directors And University Leaders

The one-day events will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include a guided tour of the SUU campus, along with opportunities to meet academic program directors and university leaders. A resource fair will also allow participants to meet with financial aid counselors, academic advisers and admissions representatives.

The event is free, although registration is required for prospective students and their guests. Participants will also have an opportunity to win two $500 scholarships.
