Hey Utah- These Last Minute Gifts Are Really Bad Ideas

Finding the perfect gift for your loved one involves a lot of trial and error.

I've been married for almost 20 years now, and that means that I have done a lot of trials, and have made a lot of errors.

Believe me, I've been there. You procrastinated and procrastinated and then before you know it, you wake up to the horrible realization that TODAY is Valentines Day, your S.O.'s birthday, Anniversary or whatever.

The panic sets in and you start freaking out. You drive all around town looking for something, ANYTHING that will convey to that special someone that you were thinking about them (okay well you sorta were, but that's beside the point) and you've gotta do something RIGHT NOW.

Usually you can't go wrong with letting them sleep while you take care of whatever the heck they hate doing. Take out the kids out to dinner or to the St. George Children's Museum and let her have a nap.

It's been my experience that the lady-folk LOVE to sleep. Take the kids and let her.

To this day I’m pretty bad at giving gifts. I don’t know what you SHOULD get your significant other as a gift, but I sure have found out what NOT to give as a gift. Learn from my hard-earned wisdom and failure.

When you're trying to show that person in your life how you feel about them, whether it be for Valentine's Day, Christmas, their birthday or any other occasion… Please, please for the love of all that's holy, do not consider getting any of these things for them.
