Utah has many places to visit but during the summer, the most popular places in the state can be too hot to go to.

Places like Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, and even Lake Powell can be excruciatingly warm. It isn't uncommon for these places to be flooded with tourists too. So, why not try something a bit different if you are in Utah this summer?

Natural History Museum of Utah

Located at the University of Utah, this is a must-see for history lovers and curious minds. The museum has been open since 1969 and is a spectacular way to see fossils, invertebrate and vertebrate zoology, minerals, plants, and more. There is a little something for everyone and a great option for those wanting an indoor adventure.

Brigham University Young Museum of Art

If you love art, this is the museum you need to have on your bucket list. BYU houses several collections including a sculpture garden, landscape canvases, and even sowing thread art. More options will come as exhibitions change and it's a great way to see Utah’s appreciation for the arts.

Hill Aerospace Museum

Last on the list is Hill Aerospace Museum at Hill Airforce Base. With over 4,000 objects in the collection ranging from military aircraft to artwork, this is a history buffs paradise. Though there are many objects in the permanent collection, only 20% of them are on display at a time, the website said. So, you’ll have to see if what they have on display will interest you in advance.
