Dating Trends Utah Singles Need To Know In 2025

Dating in Utah is a difficult endeavor and one that can make your headache from the effort but, there is some hope for 2025. 

Let’s be real, dating isn’t what it used to be, and apps are either hit or miss. For me, it’s been a total miss. However, some good can come from them, say in the form of data.  

Bumble has released its list of 2025 dating predictions for what is in and what is out this year in the dating world.  

Hopefully, some Utah men and women will take these into consideration when doing the initial stages of feeling someone out for a date and if it continues from there.  

#1 Little Things 

Basically, big gestures are no longer the most “romantic” thing you can do. Instead, do the most with a little. Bumble said that 88% of US women prefer getting memes, playlists and inside jokes to be romanced. This does NOT mean you shouldn’t be getting the door for your date or even flowers on occasion. 

#2 Authentic Dating Stories 

The dating scene is also filled with...some pretty entertaining stories. Some are horror and some end up being cute. Those who are fearlessly posting after a date with the good and the bad are trending.  

#3 Geek Out 

Niche interests and shared fandoms are a way for partners to have intimacy, Bumble said. In 2025, Utah men and women want to nerd out together and the beehive state is a good place for that. This also includes things like book clubs and running clubs, pretty much whatever you are passionate about. 

#4 A Bad Reputation 

We all like to look at our TV crushes and dream but, if you see a guy who is similar in real life it can actually be a bad thing. Guys are being put into categories because of archetypes and their intentions and personality get mixed with fiction. Be aware of your own perceptions before you date someone who looks like your favorite character.  

#5 To the Future 

The world is already uncertain so having a partner who is unstable emotionally, unclear with their goals and not reliable is not it. Bumble said that 59% of women are using stability as a measure when going out for dates.  

#6 A Bestie 

Guy best friends are now a way for filtering out potential bad dates for women. Not as an obstacle but as a way for women to understand men’s actions. However, sometimes even another guy doesn’t have the answers.
