Baby Names So Unpopular Even Utah Won’t Use Them
Utah has earned itself a reputation for coming up with unique baby names.
It's often been observed that all you have to do to turn a normal name into a Utah name is to misspell it, and then throw in a y.
- Mykel
- Dayvid
- Jordynn
- Jaymz
Or just name your kid after a Country or a City you've never been to.
- Brooklyn
- Ireland
- Boston
- Cheyenne
I consider myself qualified on the topic of baby names because by some miraculous event, somehow I was able to convince a female to reproduce with me five times.
It's so miraculous in fact, that I even got a tattoo in order to commemorate it. (see above)These are my children's initials. Of course I got the tattoo entirely in Star Wars language because I'm a massive dork.
Old-Timey names have made something of a resurgence as of late. More people are giving their kids WWII era names like Mabel, Ivy and Henry.
But there are some old-timey names that have fallen so far out of favor, that even Utah in all its eccentric fervor, won't touch.
Okay maybe they will, but the amount of people using these names is so small that it's hard to prove.
So take a look at these first names that haven't been used in a long time. If you use one, you're guaranteed to have the only kid with that name on the block.
