Station II just got one heck of an upgrade last week and is now offering excellent food and coffee drinks.

For those who have never been to Station II Bar, it's a great place to catch up with friends, enjoy karaoke, get some drinks and enjoy downtown St. George. With the addition of a kitchen, Station II can now be an even more inclusive hangout place and lunch or dinner spot.

Elise West, a pillar in the St. George community is the one who headed the building of the coffee addition to Station II and collaborated with the owners, Cris and Ashley Pace, for a coffee (and non-coffee) drink menu.

Some may be more familiar with Affogato West which used to be a coffee and tea shop off Red Hills Parkway. West was the genius behind that and has now brought her delicious coffee and community building expertise to Station II.

The addition of the great food menu and great service from the new kitchen is thanks to Chef Jesse Teta.

I had the chance to try out the new menu and grab a coffee on Saturday during the grand opening.

The place was packed as music played out on the patio and people enjoyed food and drinks. The atmosphere was super inviting, and I think it will become a new hotspot for Southern Utahns to enjoy.

The food menu offered sliders, wings, tacos, salads and more. I tried the sliders (which you can mix and match) and ordered the portabella mushroom and bison meatloaf flavors which were beyond delicious. Topped with caramelized onions and specialized sauces, it was impossible to not love these sliders. Chef Tate has created the yummiest sliders around so definitely try them ASAP.

I also ordered the Hideout coffee drink which was perfect and tasted exactly like a drink created from Affogato West. For those who missed it, it has been revived but also has a new feel.

For those who don’t drink coffee but still want to grab a special drink there are quite a few non-coffee drinks available to try as well.

The kitchen will be open Tuesday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
