Utah Trend: This Is Why You Can't Find Love

There is a trend in dating where men pay for the first date, but if the woman rejects their request for a second date, they send a Venmo bill for what the first date cost. That’s right, men think there is some sort of money back guarantee. Apparently, they think they are dating Costco.

If you are a guy reading this and thinking: “Yeah, that seems fair.” I hate to break it to you, but you are not a prime dating prospect. Frankly, you’re near the bottom of the pool and your chances of finding long lasting fulfillment when it comes to love are not good.

I’m sorry if this hurts your feelings. To understand this, you are going to have to back out of your current mind set and try to see the big picture. No one wants to be around someone who only thinks about their needs and counts the cost of every relationship.

You’re like having an aggressive neighbor who is heavily into multi-level marketing. No one wants to be around someone who treats them well as long as they are getting something from them. It’s icky and off putting. Even if you think you can hide how you really are, trust me, it is coming through anyway.

Here’s a better idea. Learn about the qualities in people others like to be around. Good listeners, unselfish, thoughtful, are all traits you could try to pick up. If you can’t get a handle on it, find someone you like to be around and copy what they do.

It’s going to take some discipline, but I promise, if you become a better person, you will find all the love and happiness you are looking for. And then you can just shop at Costco instead of trying to date one.
