There’s a new food truck in the area in Washington on Telegraph that is serving up food from South America. If you think that it will taste like the Mexican food places, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Discovering South American Flavors

I like the tasty Mexican food found in Southern Utah; there are just a lot of options. This food truck named Comida Tipica Colombo-Venezolana is cooking up some tasty food featuring tastes from much further south.

I had beef with rice, beans, and a salad that cost $18. It seemed a little more than what I usually pay for a meal, but there was plenty of food, and the caramelized onions and the white sauce that had a hint of horseradish was delicious.

Unique Flavors: The Home-Cooked Taste of South America

My wife ordered two of the arepa, one chicken and the other ham and cheese. These were a good price at around $8 and were big and yummy. The meat is mixed with sauce and tomatoes in a crunchy bread.

There was a kind of cheese sprinkled on top that really added to the flavor. There was plenty of food and she only ate one of them and took the other home.

I love the taste of this food. It isn’t hot or spicy like Mexican food. It has a meaty home cooked taste to it. I especially like the fried plantains that look like bananas and are cooked until they are caramelized on the outside.
