Look At This…The Highest Road in Utah is Surprisingly Accessible
It can be inspirational and fulfilling to conquer a mountain peak and plant your flag on the top of the world. For some of us it is even better if we didn’t have to exhaust ourselves getting there. Here’s the highest road in Utah where you can drive to the top.
Road Up Mount Brigham is the Tops
Sitting towards the middle of the state in Piute County is Mount Brigham that has an elevation of 11,676 feet above sea level. There is a dirt road that is relatively well maintained that will take you near the top.
There are higher mountains with hiking trails you that you can scale a peak, but this is one you could take your minivan up. I’m not recommending you do, just saying you could. It is the highest road in the beehive state.
For anyone wanting to see the view from that height, this is an easy way to get there. Of course, you can go to up Brian Head on a ski lift in the summer and that isn’t a bad option either. Brian Head peak is just 300 feet or so lower.
Get the Most Out of Your Elevated Drive
“I have been on the highest road in Utah,” is a great way to start a conversation. Say this with a far off look in your eyes. Even better, you can post your adventure for former classmates to see.
Just make sure you are wearing something that looks like hiking gear and take a picture with a determined look on your face. Crop out any vehicles or the dirt road for that matter and post it on social media.

I have driven to the top of mountains to visit radio towers, and it is usually a scary and exhilarating way to spend an afternoon. People are always impressed when you tell the stories later. Just leave out the part about driving there in your minivan.
