Can Utah Take A Joke? Our Ranking on List of Joker States

Can Utah take a joke? Where does Utah rank on a list of biggest jokers?  

Gambling.com wanted to see where the jokesters are in the nation and compiled a list.  They looked at four metrics, joke terms searched on the internet, the number of comedy clubs, comedians for hire and groups who get together to laugh. Surprisingly, Utah is surrounded by some of the funniest states. 

#1 on the list is Nevada. The jokes are flowing out of Lake Mead apparently. At #5 Is Colorado with Arizona at #6. All border states that are high on the jokester list. Hopefully, they aren’t that high because we are the butt of those jokes. 

So, where is Utah on the list? #17. Not bad. It’s still in the top half. I think there are a lot of funny people in Utah who love a good joke. Besides, this is where Dry Bar Comedy is recorded, a staple of You Tube comedians doing their thing. 

Maybe Utah didn’t do as well because of the other states on the border... Idaho was #46, that’s four from the bottom, and Wyoming came in at #47. Maybe some of that gloominess is seeping in and bringing us down. 

So, who is the least jokester state? #50 on the list is Montana. Why all the frowny faces up there in big sky country? Maybe it’s because of all the space up there. It’s hard to tell a joke to your neighbor when they live a mile away.

I think we need to up our game here in Utah so that next year when they take a tally, we’ll lead the pack. Do your part by pulling a prank on your office mate and spending the rest of the day searching joke terms. Next time, maybe Nevada won’t find things so funny.
