
New Airport Rules Let You Keep Your Nevada Boots On During Security

We have been removing our shoes in the airport for almost 20 years since 1996. It has been such a tradition that flying feels like visiting your sister-in-law's house, the one that “politely” asks everyone to remove your shoes when you visit their house. I mean I almost feel bad tracking dirt through the tile passages of an airport, but the new ruling is that we won’t have to remove our shoes.
Important Shift New Shoe Removal Rule For Southern Nevada Travelers
This amazing turn of events will change travel significantly for the southern Nevada rancher. That’s right boots are back baby. You know who I am talking about, the person you can hear coming across a tiled floor before you even see them as if it’s high noon. Yeah, Mr. boots. You can now wear them on the plane without fear of having to peel that midleg sleeve off of your legs at the security check. I mean I deliberate on the convenience of putting the secure straps on my crocs knowing they are just going to have to come off midway through the airport stroll.
What Would Be Better Than Keeping Your Shoes On
While I appreciate the chance to leave my shoes on, there is an inconvenience I would not mind leaving behind on the tarmac.

How about no more unpacking your bag? I mean the x-ray machine seems to do as much as me unpacking electronics. For that matter TSA no water crossing TSA would be a nice shift too, not that I mind emptying my water bottle then reflilling at the drinking fountain. It’s either that or paying airport prices for airport water that is somehow safer than my water of the same brand purchased outside of the airport.
So yeah, this is a good start—but hopefully, enough changes are on the horizon to make TSA PreCheck obsolete. Because if that program is truly dependable, it makes you wonder what other security interruptions we could quietly phase out.
