How is this Possible…The Fastest Speeding Ticket in Utah History
I got pulled over several months ago in Pine Valley.
I wasn't paying attention and was going about 15 over on the main road which is has a 25 MPH speed limit or so.
Just as the cop walked up to my window, my little baby started screaming in his car seat. So loud it almost caused an avalanche.
The police officer was like, try and slow down, I know it's hard and you're eager to get home (referring to the screaming baby) and I got off even though I should have gotten a ticket. I love that child! He's a good boy!

I've gotten several speeding tickets on the freeway going 15 or so over and I'm sure we all have.
According to KUTV, about 90% of all stops on I-15 are for speeding.
"According to Utah Highway Patrol, 4,668 drivers were "contacted" by troopers in 2024 for exceeding 100 miles per hour. 1,827 were cited for Utah’s 105+ law." (LINK TO FULL KUTV ARTICLE)
The 105+ law means that if you're driving that fast it's reckless driving. It becomes a Class B misdemeanor and you can get a $1000 fine.

According to the same article:
"2News shared instances of Troopers pursuing drivers who were driving "extreme" speeds. In one case, an 18-year-old driver hit 148 miles per hour in Juab County.
In another instance, a driver behind the wheel of a modified Dodge Charger hit 189 miles per hour in Beaver, Utah, and was only taken into custody after running from police in Cedar City." (LINK TO FULL KUTV ARTICLE)
That's insane.

I wonder what time of day it was.
