Cedar City is a home for the arts and festivals. Two additions to the art scene in Cedar City include two of my favorite sculpture gardens.

All you need to do is head over to the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts and take in the views in the Catherine and Robert Pedersen Shakespeare Character Garden and the Stillman Sculpture Court.

Catherine and Robert Pedersen Shakespeare Character Garden: Located between the Randall L. Jones Theater and the Engelstad Shakespeare Theater. The sculptures of King Lear and Cleopatra are my favorites.

Stillman Sculpture Court: Located between the Southern Utah Museum of Art and the Ashton Family Greenshow Commons. In 2010, former Southern Utah University President Mike Benson approached Larry and Liane Stillman about supporting the idea of an art museum and the Stillman Family contributed to building the sculpture court. The original ribbon-cutting took place in 2016.

I encourage you to visit both of these sculpture gardens and see just how life-like and inspiring sculpture can be.
