The Latest in Immersive Entertainment in Las Vegas
You don't need to travel very far to check out the latest in immersive entertainment in Las Vegas.
According to The Sphere’s website, the area of The Sphere was used to calculate the square footage of the Exosphere, which features 580,000 square feet of LEDs and can be seen from space.
The inside of The Sphere is large enough to fit the entire Statue of Liberty. The interior includes a 160,000-square-foot media plane with 168,000 speakers behind that media plane.
Hundreds of interlocking triangles make up the Sphere’s exoskeleton and a giant LED screen wraps over and behind the audience’s 17.385 seats.
U2 kicked off the entertainment at The Sphere with a residency that runs through March of 2024.
U2 has been releasing albums since 1980; their latest is Songs of Surrender.
