Pop Culture and Pups in Southern Utah

Pop culture and puppers are part of the new Art Wall display at Groovacious in Cedar City. 

Pup Culture: Mallory Sanders Dog Prints and Puns is the latest art display from Mallory Sanders. 

Mallory is from Sandy and received her Bachelor of Science in Art, with Museum Studies and Art History Minors from Southern Utah University and is currently the coordinator of exhibitions at the Southern Utah Museum of Art. 

For this exhibit, Mallory wanted to combine a good pun and dogs to help rejuvenate her love for printmaking. Printmaking is an art form where a matrix, which is a plate or a block, and ink are used to transfer an image onto paper.

Groovacious has been part of the Cedar City landscape since 2000 and the Art Wall has been a part of Groovacious since 2019.
