My son Drew is 20 and his age group love Japanese culture including the food. He and his two friends recently visited Yokoso Japanese Cuisine in Hurricane. This is a small intimate restaurant next to Mountain Mikes and Walmart.

Sushi Experience at Yokoso Japanese Cuisine

They ordered sushi rolls for the most part. "They were good, about what you can get at other sushi places in Southern Utah," said Drew. He especially enjoyed the Hurricane Roll that had tuna, tempura shrimp, and crabmeat. There was also a touch of avocado and Jalapeño.

The prices are about what you expect for sushi these day ranging from $12 to $18 for the higher end rolls. They also offer other Japanese dishes like edamame and wagyu burgers. They also enjoyed the Nigiri which is soup and salad.

An Intimate Dining Atmosphere

The atmosphere is simple and intimate. Drew described it as peaceful and simple. It isn't a memorable place for decorations, but it was good for him and his friends who wanted a place to enjoy some good food and catch up.

They were happy with the service. He said there was no waiting and their server was helpful and friendly. He must have been impressed as he left a higher tip than he and his friends usually offer.
