Chapter 13 New Digs 81

As Succubus left the classroom, he didn’t feel so cocky. Older demons had been summoned and they found Borgin curled up and moaning on the ground. Looking confused about what had happened, they told the students to return to their quarters.

What will happen now? Succubus wondered as he walked out of the cavern, his classmates giving him a wide berth. Perhaps his punishments had just begun.

He took his time returning to the cavern. When he did arrive, he found Ghamegis and Ipses were careful as they interacted with him. They were obviously not sure how this was going to play out either.

He felt unsettled about the future and his those who had witnessed what had happened, avoided him and quietly talked amongst themselves.

Feeling he needed some answers, Succubus decided to leave and see if he could find Ansu. Maybe the old demon would know what was coming and what he could do about it.

You got in trouble before, Succubus imagined saying to the old demon. Can you hide me in your secret room till this all blows over?

As he hurried through the tunnels, Succubus could hear other demons talking about what had happened to Borgin. Apparently, word had spread fast.
