“Bah!” Southern Utah Has The Solution For Christmas Spirit

What gets you into the Christmas spirit? For some, it’s the music, others the smells of cooking and pine trees. Some people say they can’t get into the spirit until they watch a good Christmas story. If none of this works, you may need help from Tiny Tim.  

Tuacahn is doing their part by offering some “A Christmas Carol” starting November 22nd and Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” beginning November 24th.  

I was able to talk with two of the actors, Ben Latham and Jessica Wockenfuss who will be playing Phil and Judy in the “White Christmas” production. “It’s a wonderful family show with a lot of Holiday spirit, obviously,” said Wockenfuss. “There is a lot of dancing, big production numbers.”

The story of a military veteran song-and-dance team putting on a show in a magical Vermont inn and falling head-over-heels for a stunning sister act in the process. This merry and bright holiday musical is full of dancing, laughter and features Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake.  

I think some of the stories told from earlier generations make me feel the legacy of Christmas. These stories are saturated with the tradition of love, family and good deeds, and of course, Tuacahn always does it right. 

"We’re bringing you the original Broadway costumes,” said Latham. “So, those are going to be flashy and really help put you in the Christmas spirit.” 

So, stop yelling “Bah Humbug!” at everyone you meet, or as my brother said in an elementary school production, “Hah, Bumhug”, and get in the merriment of the season. If you need help, Tuacahn may have just what you need.
