Taking a drive to see the leaves change colors in nature’s fall fireworks show can be good for your soul. Here in Southern Utah there are some beautiful places that you may not have thought of to see the leaves change.

Best Places to See Fall Colors in Southern Utah

You might not think right away of Zion National Park for seeing leaves change. The rugged canyons and soaring cliffs aren’t covered in trees. However, there is far more to the park.

The part of Zion you see riding the shuttle is spectacular, but you are only seeing a small part of the land reserved and there is much to see in the less popular areas. There is a road that winds in and out of the park that begins in the town of Virgin.

This is the road to Kolob Reservoir. You can tell when it enters the national park by how the road changes from gray asphalt to red. It winds up through the mountain and has some spectacular areas to enjoy the fall colors.

Hard to Beat Cedar Breaks and Brian Head

It is hard to beat the fall colors that explode in the mountains above Cedar City. A weekend drive that winds the roads towards Duck Creek will fill you with wonder. Along the way you can check out the view over Cedar Breaks.
