Tssssss, the shuttle had stopped and the doors swung open with a hiss. I climbed the steps excited for the shuttle to magically teleport me into Zion National Park.

This very shuttle service is about to get started again on March 2nd. Since the shuttle is free once you get in the park, I thought we should share 11 unapproved tips on how you can tap into the joy of this magical shuttle.

- Stand at the loading area commenting on the bus make, model, horsepower, tires, etc. Like you were at a car or should I say bus show.

- Pack lunches for passengers. Then walk up and down the aisle to see how they like the food, act offended when they don’t seem to enjoy your home-made offering.

- Time each shuttle's run with a stopwatch and post stats of the “winners” of the day.

- Appoint yourself as an usher setting up seating for boarding parties with a snappy vested uniform and a flashlight, whispering to the visitors where the open seats are.

- Tie yourself to the back of a shuttle and roller skate behind it.

- Polar Express it, but instead of hot chocolate serve, “cold, cold, cold, Gatorade. We’ve got it.”

- Bring a surfboard to tie to the top.

- Put pictures up over each window of the things you think visitors would want to see. Like Alaska landscapes, other national parks, maybe even a Kardashian snapshot or two.

- Be national geographic but for the wildlife on the bus with comments about the visitors. Like, “the male in the hiking boots has prepared himself for the long migration up the trail of the Temple of Sinawava”.

- Set up your art studio and complain to the driver for going too fast to paint the vistas.

- Make a virtual hiking talk show hosting each group of hikers. Ask questions like, “what trail are we attacking today?" and "What are you hoping to discover on this voyage?” Keep looking up at the spot where a camera should be as you commentate.
