NEW FREEWAY EXIT IN SOUTHERN UTAH!

IT'S COMING! It's been years in the works, but it's finally about to begin construction on the New I-15 "Exit 11" on Main Street in Washington.

When announced, the public in Washington was LESS THAN THRILLED about the new Exit 11 headed their way. I can understand why, too. It's VERY CLOSE to homes. It's almost SMACK-DAB right in the middle of a neighborhood.

When driving on this quiet little street in Washington, it makes you wonder... Is there enough space to pull this off? Well, Utah Department of Transportation seems to believe there's plenty of room.

I have to admit though... It will definitely be way more convenient for people living in Washington, or traveling to different Washington locations. This freeway exit would have been REALLY CONVENIENT when I was playing Little League for Washington City, or going to the Washington City Community Center. But it will DEFINITELY be nice when headed to Cotton Days, or the Parade, or even the Washington County Fair Parade.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! They're also widening the freeway to 3 lanes on both sides between Green Spring Drive and Washington Parkway. This area is about to EXPLODE as well! Washington Parkway has multiple gas stations, hotels, a new Auto Mall coming, more restaurants, and thousands of more homes.

Construction on the NEW Exit 11 will begin in March of this year, as well as the widening of Interstate 15. 

How do you feel about the New Exit 11 on Main Street in Washington? Will this be a big convenience, or will it tarnish a really great neighborhood in a VERY QUIET little town?
