What Is Arizona’s Favorite Sweet Treat?
No matter your age, we all crave a sweet treat from time to time. While there are plenty of ways to get your sugar fix, the easiest by far is candy.
They're typically individually wrapped, making them easy to portion, and can instantly boost your mood on a down day, so what's Arizona's favorite?
The Most Popular Candy in America
If I were to guess what America's favorite candy would be, I might guess some kind of chocolate, or maybe a Starburst, turns out I couldn't be further from the truth. There are two candies that share the gold, and I wouldn't have guessed either.
The first, taking up much of the Southeast is Charms Blow Pops, the lollipops with a hidden gum surprise at the center. The other winner, taking up much of the Midwest was Jolly Ranchers, showing that America tends to have an affinity for hard candies as opposed to chews.

The Most Popular Candy in Arizona
Arizona, as always, is a bit of a trendsetter. We only share our favorite candy with two other states, California and Texas. What is it? Sour Punch! These tangy, chewy bites are not well represented outside of the west coast.
Maybe the rough outside reminds us of the sand we're surrounded by, or maybe the tang helps distract us from the insufferable heat, but whatever the case, it's clear that Arizonans don't want to put this candy down. Not the biggest fan? Well don't worry because our runner up, Dubble Bubble Bubble Gum, is just as good.
