Not even a full mile up Cedar Canyon on Highway 14, this hike can be made easy or difficult depending on your skill level.

Red Hollow Trailhead is part of the Thunderbird Canyons Trail System and can be used for hiking, biking, climbing, and trail running.

There are 12+ miles of trail with more to come according to the BLM. I probably only went half a mile to a mile on the trail, but as you can see, that was more than enough to enjoy the beauty of the red rock scenery.

The red rock was not the only thing that had its beauty on full display. The wildflowers and cacti were showing off how pretty they were right next to the trail.

As part of the trailhead’s convenient location, you’re able to access the Cedar City Paved Trail System next to Coal Creek right across the highway.

The signage won't be the only thing letting you know you're in the right place. A tree with shoes hanging from it will let you know as well.
